He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Sadler and Irene Franklin; his brothers, Ray Franklin, Gary Franklin, Harvey Sadler and Ricky Sadler; and his grandmother Gray.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Sadler; his son Stephen Sadler (Brittney); his grandchildren, Owen, Sidney, Sophia, Carter, Seth and J. T.; his siblings, Donnie Franklin, Bennie Franklin, Donna, Darlene, Sheila and Peggy Jo; and his sister-in-law Kathy Sadler.
