She was predeceased by: her parents, Bryant Whitfield and Alice Whitfield; her husband Gene Burney; her daughters, Nellarie Osborn, Sandra Cook and Gloria Avery; her sisters, Lois Dheel, Juanita Winstead and Peggy Brown; and her grandchildren, Sherry Pearson, Barbie Wilson, Anthony Pearson and James Kilgo.
She is survived by: her daughter Delder Anders; and her grandchildren, Kody Smothers, Jody Smothers, Sandra Moran, Tyler Wilson, Robbie Wilson and Scottie Osborn. She is also survived by 27 great grandchildren; 31 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
