Robert Lamar Lawson Obituary
Robert Lamar (Bob) Lawson, age 60, was born January 16, 1964 and passed away peacefully January 19, 2024 at his home in Adamsville. He is formerly from Fultondale, Morris, and Brookside, AL.
Bob loved motorcycles and had them most of his life and loved riding the Tail of the Dragon in the Smoky Mountains. He had been a part of the American Left Wing Formation Riders in Fultondale, AL and rode on many charity drives to help people in need. He loved fishing and was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan. He was a hard worker and took seriously providing for his family. He spent his quality time with his children as a coach when they played football and baseball.
Preceding him in death is his wife, Jessie Kumler Lawson; and maternal grandparents, Edmond Lamar McRee and Lillie Whitlock McRee.
Survivors are his and Jessie's children, Brandon Lamar Lawson and his wife Natalee, and grandsons Christopher Redden of Alabama and JJ of Florida; Blake Edmond Lawson and his wife Corrie, and grandsons, Dax and Abel of Tennessee; Brooke Lawson and Josh of Morris, AL; wife, Tina Norris; mother, Barbara McRee Lawson and step-father Sherman Lawson of Adamsville; half sister, Cynthia Lawson Woods and her husband Tony of Adamsville; half brothers, Stephen Lawson of Adamsville, and Brian Lawson and his wife Misti of Hayden, AL; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Bell Funeral Home Sumiton from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A graveside service will follow at Union Grove Cemetery in Adamsville. Herman Osborn of Faith Worship Center will officiate.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Lawson, Stephen Lawson, Josh McFarrin, David Woods, Jason Woods, Tony Woods and Travis Smith.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Bell Funeral Home would be appreciated.
