It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Battles (Adamsville, Alabama), born in Oneonta, Alabama, who passed away on May 4, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Battles and Josie Tidwell Battles; his daughter Teresa Johnson; and his siblings, Ross Battles, Pharon Battles, Opal Price and Delilah Mae McWater.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Rutledge Battles; his son Eddie Battles (Robin); his grandchildren, Michael Johnson (Misty), Malia Mitchell (Steven), Arianna Spain (Joe) and Alexander Battles; his great grandchildren, John Michael, Breeana Mitchell and Lux Johnson; and his sister Glenda Sims (Dan).
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the family will have a private graveside service with Mel Futrell officiating.
