She was predeceased by: her parents, Elza A. Scott and Mary Elizabeth Scott; her husband Billy Frank Gilchrist; her sons, Michael Scott Gilchrist and Jeffery Allen Gilchrist; her daughter-in-law Elisa Samples Gilchrist; and her siblings, Sue Scott Nations and John Lawson Scott.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Suzette R. Gilchrist; her niece Susan Matherson; her nephews, Greg Gilchrist (Susan) and Steve Gilchrist; her grandchildren, Krystle G. Campbell (Matt), Destin G. Stephens (Lane), Billy Frank Gilchrist, II (Laurel), Linnzie P. Hooks (Mike) and Emily P. Rape (Matt); and her great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Catherine, Matthew Campbell, Liam and Kate Gilchrist. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was a life long member of Graysville United Methodist Church and requested donations be made to Graysville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 128, Graysville, AL 35073 in lieu of flowers.
