He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Olan Taylor and Pearl Mae Dixon Taylor; his wife Shirley Hopkins Taylor; his children, Angela Rane (Jimmy), Mike Taylor (Debra) and Ricky Taylor (Kathy); his grandchildren, Jason Hudspeth, Chris Hudspeth, Lindsay Rane Carter (Chance) and Kayla Weed (Jeremy); his stepgrandchildren, Ashleigh Rane Savoy (Kevin) and James W. Rane, Jr. (Mandy); his great grandchildren, Kameron Seay (Greer), Addie Hudspeth, Lily Hudspeth, Taylor Hudspeth, Madysen Hudspeth and Christopher Hudspeth, Jr.; his great great grandchildren, Reid Seay and Billy Newton; and his sisters, Linda Morrell, Vondora Brown, Christy Smith and Carrie Lee.
A graveside service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Abbeville Memorial Cemetery.
