He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Joshua Espy and Hattie Strickland Culpepper Espy; his sisters, Sarah Fields, Emily Jones and Mary Lucy Mobley; his grandmother Brannon; and his brothers, Harry Espy, Hubert Culpepper, Everett Culpepper, Tom Ben Culpepper, Joe Culpepper and Herman Culpepper.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Herring Espy; his children, Craig Espy (Amber) and Katie Espy Dalton (Rodney) of Abbeville; and his grandchildren, Katherine Dalton, Joshua Espy and Mason Espy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
