He was predeceased by: his parents, Talmadge Helms and Maggie Pippins Helms; his wife Yvonne Portwood Helms; and his sister Hilda Helms Long. He is survived by: his daughters, Janet Evans (Lee) of Blue Springs, Lisa Fisher (Heath) of Blue Springs and Jennifer Casteel (Brandon) of Blue Springs; his grandchildren, Nash Evans, Austin Evans, Avery Evans, Ethan Fisher, Emma Fisher, Katherine Fisher, Novalee Casteel and Cody Casteel; and his brother-in-law LaDon Portwood (Diane).
Social distancing and mask guidelines will be observed.
