Katherine left this world on January 12, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Lonzie Woods, Sr.; her parents, J. B. Lampley and Rachel Lampley; her siblings, Willie, Robert Lampley, Lissie Alexander and Mary Reynolds; and her daughter-in-law Merlinda Woods.
She is survived by: her children, Lonzie Jr., James Earl, Willie Herbert Woods, Jolane Parks (Charles) and Willene; her son-in-law Curtis Randall; her friend Patricia Williams; and her close friend Malawa Adams. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, forty-one great-grandchildren, and sixteen great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and close relatives.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Rocky Mount Missionary Baptist Church (457 County Road 42 W, Abbeville, AL 36310). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Home Going Celebration. A burial will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at the Rocky Mount Baptist Church Cemetery (457 County Road 42 W, Abbeville, AL 36310).
