He is survived by: his children, Kim Lindsey Giles (Ed), Katie Lindsey Pompa (Michael) and John Chandler Lindsey (Sarah); his sister Janice Lindsey Seay (Ted); his sister-in-law Hedy Stowers (Bethea); and his grandchildren, Morgan Lindsey Giles, Mary Katherine Giles, Edward Jackson Giles, IV, Margaret Ann Pompa, Henry Chandler Lindsey, Millie Frances Lindsey and David James Lindsey.
