We are sad to announce that on October 15, 2021 we had to say goodbye to John Bates Jr. of Abbeville, Alabama, born in Washington, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas Bates, Sr. and Kathleen Sheppard Bates; and his sisters, Pauline Stewart and Dot Knopp. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Westbrook Bates; his children, Stacey Scott (Dwight), David Bates of Abbeville and Matt Bates of Abbeville; his sister Martha Rushing; and his grandchildren, J. D. Bates, Caleb Tarver, K'Lee Tarver and Cyrus Bates.
Social distancing and mask guidelines will be observed.
