He was predeceased by: his parent James Rufus "Pete" Herring; his wife Claudette Herring; and his brother Roger Herring. He is survived by: his parent Euldine Williams Herring; his daughters, Heather Blalock (Josh) of Headland and Jennifer Simmons (Dwight) of Headland; his brothers, Mickey Herring, Dothan Herring and Joseph P. "Bodie" Herring (Jackie); his sister-in-law Sheila Herring of Abbeville; and also, Brody Blalock, Jase Blalock, Hunter Simmons and Drake Simmons.
