He was predeceased by: his father Hiram Posey Daugherty; and his siblings, Elwood Daugherty, Carrol Daugherty, Marvin Daugherty, Ruth Everette, Helen Touchstone, Velma Patrick and Betty Milstead.
He is survived by: his wife Fay Vann Daugherty; his children, Amy Daugherty of Auburn, AL, Laurie Daugherty of Spring, TX and Vann Daugherty (Angie); his sisters, Dr. Bonnie McGee and Bernice Rocray (Sam); and his grandchildren, Camille Daugherty, Lauren Daugherty, Ava Daugherty, Eric Daugherty and Will Daugherty.
