He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Deaton and Beatrice Deaton. He is survived by: his wife Terri White Deaton; his children, Ann Bradley (Bobby), Jessy Snell (Anthony), Fred Deaton and Justin Snell (Shennika); his brothers, Danny Deaton (Susanne), Doug Deaton (Cathy) and Bruce Deaton (Dinah); and his siblings-in-law, Mandie Wright (Doug) and Mark White (Kathy). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
