He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Albert McCoy and Georgia Pearl Arnold McCoy; and his brothers, Floyd McCoy, Robert McCoy, Louie McCoy and Jack McCoy.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Carr McCoy; his children, Kelli McCoy Searcy (Robert) and Dr. Chris McCoy (Donna) of Capps, AL; his brother Billy McCoy (Libby); his sisters-in-law, Joyce McCoy, Diane Perry Edwards, Dot McCoy Long and Lougenia Carr Hudspeth (Joey); and his grandchildren, Cason McCoy (Deanna), Cailin McCoy and Payton Searcy.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (2574 County Road 40 West, ABBEVILLE, AL 36310). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Abbeville Memorial Cemetery- East Hwy (305 Rock Hill Cir, Abbeville, AL 36310).
