He was predeceased by: his parents, Agnes Lund and Elmer Lund; his adoptive mother Florence (Henry Oberhauser); and his siblings, LeRoy Oberhauser and Diane Olson.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Oberhauser; his daughter Rhonda Hala (Scott Hala); his grandchildren, Tyler Flowers (Bell Prungkiat) and Addison Hala; and his stepchildren, Michelle Cooper (Denny Cooper), Homer "Dan" Heaton (Celia Heaton), Christine McBride (James "Jim" McBride), Connie Gerard and Roy Heaton. He is also survived by 11 step grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Janssen's Eagle River Funeral Home (16421 Brooks Loop, Eagle River, AK 99577). A burial will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Fort Richardson National Cemetery (58-512 Davis Hwy POB 5498, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK 99505).
