He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Sturman and Bertha Sturman; his son Carl Sturman; his brother Paul David Sturman; and his grandson Seth Sturman.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Sturman of Soldotna; his children, Cathy Sturman of Soldotna and Steve Sturman (Tesa) of Kenai; his siblings, Doyle Sturman (Olga) of Houston, Texas and Patricia Roscoe of Denton, Texas; and his grandchildren, Caitlin Sturman, Jaida Sturman, Carly Sturman of Soldotna, Colby Sturman, Brett Sturman and Gage Sturman of Kenai.
