He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Eckert (Gale) and Georgeanna Ruth Eckert of Nikiski; his brother Gregory Gale Eckert of Rich Valley; his niece Amber Jean Tucker; and his nephews, John "Jack" Rutherford Jr. and Donald James Herrick.
He is survived by: his children, Taylor Wayne Kirschner, Gregory Gale Eckert and Ariele Caggiano; his granddaughter Izabella; his sisters, Paulette Jacobson, Loretta Brail, Becky Flynn (Tom), Cindy Rombach (Jerry), Dr. Tammy Eckert and Tracy Eckert (Josh Crusch); his sister-in-law Roseann Eckert (Colleen Lester); and his friend Earl "Buzzy" Meyers. He is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews, and a multitude of cousins, friends.
