He was predeceased by: his parents, William Penttinen and Mary Penttinen (Anderson); his brother-in-law Robert Boos; his nephew David Arola; and his great-niece Tiffany Penttinen.
He is survived by: his siblings, Stella Arola (Harvey) of Crystal, MN, Edith Boos of Minneapolis, MN and Richard Penttinen of Detroit Lakes, MN.; and his nieces and nephews, Bruce Arola (Kerry) of Carver, MN, Jeff Arola (Rita) of Detroit Lakes, MN, Craig Penttinen (Jennifer) of Chanhassen, MN, Mary Jo Thor (Mike Hofferber) of Alexandria, VA, Kirstin Saulsbury (Thomas) of Fargo, ND and Erin Pettigrew (Eric) of Moorhead, MN.
