She was predeceased by: her parents, Rodger Shupert Burns and Madge Lucille Lunger; her brother Francis Burns; her uncle Clarence Edgart; and her former spouse Les VanDevere (Herrel Idleman).
She is survived by: her husband Les Vandevere; her children, Lester Dyer VanDevere, III of Kasilof, Vance VanDevere of Nikiski, Bill Idleman of Nikiski, Charles Idleman and Sue Idleman; her grandsons, Dyer Cassidy VanDevere of Seattle, WA and Justin VanDevere (Lillie) of Nikiski; her nephew Rodger Burns (Debbie) of Evansville, Iowa; and her niece Gene Burns Rusch.
