He was predeceased by: his father Dorius Doyle Carlson; and his brother Dennis Doyle Carlson. He is survived by: his children, Dave and Alaskan; his wife Anna Carlson (Naknek); his mother Helen Carlson; his siblings, Laura Larson, Linda Dorene James, Lynn Carlson (Kenai), Carl F. Carlson, James W. Carlson (Bill) and Connie Carlson (Kenai); his children, Nathan Carlson, Valerie Carlson, Shaylynne Carlson Jones and Amy Ashby; and his grandchildren, Kaedon Jones and Russell Jones. He is also survived by husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, and son.
