He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Gibson and Daisy Gibson; his wife Rachel; and his siblings, Chuck, Jimmy Dean Gibson and Betty Fern Gibson Evans.
He is survived by: his children, Dwain II and Nancy; his sisters, Dolly McCune and Glenda Profeta; his sisters-in-law, Patty and Shirley Gibson; and his grandchildren, Adeena Stading, Bryson Twidwell III and Anna Cowan. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
