He is survived by: his grandchildren, Madelyn, Fletcher, Logan, Freya and Reagan; his wife Cynthia Smith (Skapura) of Gwin's Lodge; his children, Michelle Wicker (Joseph), Matthew Smith (Hannah Uher-Koch) and Mikala Fulsang (Neil); and his siblings, Dan Smith, Tim Smith (Elyse), Pixie Smith and Clay Smith (Sara). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
