He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Downing and Edith Downing; his brother Hugh Downing, Jr.; his wife Khouria Nancy Downing; and his son Stephen Downing.
He is survived by: his children, Susan, Michael Gomez and Samuel Downing; his grandchildren, Wesley, Sean and Lauren Downing; and his stepchildren, Pamela Martin and Gregory Paley.
