He was predeceased by: his father John Donald Thompson Sr.; his brother John D. Thompson Jr.; his grandparents, David Summers, Oscar Barnes, Oliver Johnson, Laura Thompson Bowie-Barnes and Stella Marie Boudreaux; his aunts and uncles, Charles Joseph Bowie, Percy Francois, Lille Mae Francois, Stella Himes Reynard and Ernestine Himes Harris; and his cousins, Deborah Marie LeCesene, Kevin Reynard and Leo LeCesene.
He is survived by: his mother Virginia Katherine Thompson (Johnson); his daughters, Brandee Thompson and Brittany Thompson; and his sisters, Renee E. Thompson, Dewella Lee and Stephanie Witherspoon Halman.
