She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Sr.; her sons, Robert and Thomas; and her great grandchild Mary Grace. She is survived by: her son William Piser (Cindy) of Matteson; her sister Joan Rechner (Stephen) of Woodstock; her daughters-in-law, Carol Piser (Robert) of North Pole and Charlene Piser (Thomas) of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Robert Piser (Tiffany) of North Pole, Barry Piser (Tiffany) of Anchorage and Amanda Downing (Eric) of North Bend; her niece Kathleen Swatkoski (William) of Charlotte; her nephew Stephen Rechner of New York; her great grandchildren, Jacob, Audrey, Olin, Caroline, Samuel, Robert Piser of North Pole, Cabrini Downing, Peter Downing of North Bend, Abram Piser and Coen Piser of Anchorage; and also Thomas Piser of Wilmington. She is also survived by sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

The family suggests donations in Ruth's name to Fairbanks Memorial Hospice.
