It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joann Hunt (Fairbanks, Alaska), born in Sac City, Iowa, who passed away on May 27, 2018, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband Jerry Estensen; her parents, Myron Schade and Milgard Schade; and her sister Karen Grumbine. She is survived by: her husband David Hunt; her son Jeffrey Estensen; her granddaughter Halla Merriman; and her siblings, Phyllis Nordholm and David Schade. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and numerous great friends.
A celebration of Joann's life will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at the Cedar Memorial Family Center and Library from 11 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in Joann's honor may be sent to the Cedar Valley Humane Society.
