He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Rice and Maxine Rice (Weiss); his wife Cheryl Hand; his daughter Karla "Crissy" Teasdale; and his siblings, Virga Hoopert, Lynnette Ashcraft, Deborah Duff and Tony Rice.

He is survived by: his son Darren Rice; and his grandchildren, Hayden Rice, Taylor Rice, Colton Rice, Jenna Barnhart (Wedel) and Carson Teasdale. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an organization that supports cancer patients and their families.
