He is survived by: his wife Margie Ann Runser (Gilmore) of Chugiak, Alaska; his sister Betty Gail Irwin of California; his children, Mary Manners of Anchorage, AK, Gail Taylor of Wasilla, AK, Susan Sauer of Fairbanks, AK, Brenda Davila of Palmer, AK and Jack Runser of Dayton, OH; his grandchildren, Russell Hancock and Cindi Hope; his sisters-in-law, Lela Ayers and Pam Gilmore; and his grandchildren, Ella Marie, Carmen, Danielle, Frederick Updegraff, Marriah, Marshall, Aubrie, Joshua, Issaiah Taylor, Rain, Talon Davila, Ben Hancock, Troy Philips, Maranda Redmond and Jennie Grajewski. He is also survived by his 29 great grandchildren/great great grandchildren.
It is requested by the family that in lieu of flowers, any donations go to the United Methodist Church of Chugiak as Richard was an avid and dedicated member of his church who cared deeply for his Lord and savior.
