Patrick Michael Reynolds Obituary
Patrick Michael Reynolds, Jr., affectionately known as “Mike” or “Burt” to those who knew him best, passed away unexpectedly on November 23, 2024, in Anchorage, Alaska.
Mike was born on November 5, 1958, in Kalispell, Montana, to Patrick Reynolds and Wanda Savage Reynolds. He graduated from Flathead High School in 1977, where he was celebrated for his quick wit and mischievous sense of humor, earning him the nickname “Burt (Reynolds)” among friends and classmates.
After high school, Mike spent several years traveling for work, seeking adventure and opportunity. In 2001, he and his son made the bold move to Alaska, ready for a fresh start and new horizons. There, Mike met his soulmate, Kim, and the two were married in 2003. Together, they shared a bond that was undeniable and profound—truly each other’s “person.” Over the years, their love grew deeper, and they were rarely apart, relishing the joy of simply being together.
Mike will be remembered most for his extraordinary ability to make others laugh. Whether it was a clever remark, a funny story, or a spur-of-the-moment antic, he had a gift for turning any moment into one filled with joy and laughter. He had a wild, wicked sense of humor and a knack for drawing people in with his charisma and warmth. Those who knew him best will treasure countless memories of his pranks, witty comebacks, and his endless determination to bring a smile to someone’s face.
Beyond his humor, Mike was a man of great devotion, loyalty, and love. His family meant everything to him. He shared a special bond with his brother, Richard, with whom he shared many unforgettable escapades. A fast friend to all, Mike had a natural ability to connect with people and make them feel at ease. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and loyalty that will be cherished forever by all who knew him.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Kim, of Anchorage; his children, Lindsay Reynolds and Dustan Reynolds; his stepchildren, Aaron Townsend and Melissa Johnson; his siblings, Richard Reynolds, Rhonda Heston (David), and Tony Reynolds; his father, Robert Poore of Kalispell; ten grandchildren; and many aunts & uncles, nieces & nephews, and cousins.
