He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lester Hook and Patricia Hook; his wife Linda Lou Smith; his grandchildren, Johnathan, Megg Spock, Isaac, Eliana Hook, Bryson, Brylee and Bryder Aafedt; his siblings, Gary (Cathy Hook), Misti (Tim Ranger) and Dan (Katy Hook); and also, Jason, Carli Hook, Secret and Bryan Aafedt. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
