He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Mayer and Martha Mayer; his siblings, Earl Mayer, Walter Mayer and Mary Whitenight; and his granddaughter Stella Franklin.
He is survived by: his wife Lillian Mayer; his children, Joyce Mayer, Louis Mayer, David Mayer and Stephen Mayer; and his children-in-law, Douglas Franklin, Joanna Mergler Mayer, Betsy Mayer and Tammy Mayer. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
