He was predeceased by: his parent Helen Petersen; and his brother-in-law Wayne. He is survived by: his daughter Crystal Kuykendall (Johnny); his grandchildren, Carter and Ashlynn of New England, ND; his son Bret Busch (Ruth); his granddaughters, Melody and Cassandra of Eugene, OR; and his siblings, Marcia Schumacher (Art) of Lake Park, IA, Jack Petersen (Cathey) of Waukee, IA, Jim Petersen (Louise) of Lake Park, IA, Susie Turner (Wayne) of Leesburg, FL and Lee Petersen (Linda) of Terril, IA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Silver Lake Cemetery in Lake Park (1405 140th St, Lake Park, IA 51347).
