He was predeceased by: his parents, John Matsalla and Josephine Matsalla of Dobrowody District; his siblings, Edward, Henry, Bernard and Elizabeth; and his daughter-in-law Leanne.
He is survived by: his wife Iris Chocorlan; his children, Mavis Lutz (Susan), April, Rick Stadnek, Cheryl (Cary), Douglas Matsalla (Lisa), Elizabeth and Steve Schmidt (Bennet); his sisters, Lena Knash, Mary Matsalla and Bernice Chopty; and his sister-in-law Julia Matsalla. He is also survived by his many cousins, nieces and nephews.
