He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Anaquod and Grace Starr; his stepfather George Starr; his siblings, Wayne Starr, Ervin Stonechild, Leslie Starr, Brenda Swanson and Karen Starr; his nephews, Shawn Swanson, Shane Swanson, Lloyd McKay (JR), Faron Akapew and Mikey Poitras; his niece Daphne McKay; and his children, Candace and Ryan.

He is survived by: his siblings, Debra McKay (Raymond), Jean Starr and Dennis Starr (Muriel); and his nieces and nephews, Robert McKay (Denise), Gilbert Swanson, Derek Starr, Baby Wayne Starr, Matthew Starr, Silvia McKay (Darryl), Lisa McNabb, Fern Starr, Kathy Starr (Willie), Patricia Starr, Krystal Swanson, Isabelle Starr (Mitch) and Jasmine Starr.

A wake will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Okanese Learning Center. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM.
