He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Shumay and Donia Shumay (Spelay); his in-laws, Frank and Jean; his siblings, Peter, Steve (Ella) and Mary; his children-in-law, Brian and Ewa; and his siblings-in-law, Herman, Eugene and Evelyn.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Shumay (Soloski) of Anthony's R. C. Church; his children, Ken (Karen) of Brandon, Leona (Marlin) of Indian Head, Kristine (Jeff) of Prince Albert, Darcy and Randy (Esther) of Regina; his grandchildren, Christine (Erik) of Carrollton, Mykel (Allie) of Saskatoon, Eryka, Matthew of Brandon, Kyle, Dylan of Indian Head, Gracelyn of Prince Albert, Christina (Matt) of Moose Jaw, Cohen and Caius of Regina; his great grandchildren, Jackson, Karter and Ellie-Mae of Moose Jaw; his brothers, Paul of Saskatoon and Dan (May) of Mundare; and his siblings-in-law, Carol of Yorkton, Adolph (Janet) of Langenburg, Lorne (Rose) of Saskatoon, Marlene and Teresa (Ben). He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Church Building Fund, Yorkton or St. Mary's Church, Whitesand as gifts of remembrance.
