He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jeffs and Matilda (Smallpiece); and his brother-in-law George Stein. He is survived by: his sister Frances Stein; his nephew Barry Stein (Colleen); his niece Elizabeth Keller (Darson); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Andrea Malinowski (Jason), Robert Stein, Graham Keller (Casey) and Sarah Keller. He is also survived by 6 great-great nieces and nephews.

He cared for the community he lived in and donated generously to many organizations.
