He was predeceased by: his parents, Winnifred Gatrell and Daniel Gatrell; his wife Ida Gatrell; his son Darren Gatrell; his parent-in-law Fred Hennig; his brothers, Andy Gatrell, Jack Gatrell, Herbert Hennig, Elmer Hennig and Rod Gwilliam; his sisters-in-law, Elda Hennig, Alice Hennig, Linda Gatrell and Evelyn Gatrell (Jack); and also Appolona Hennig.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Kraushaar (Ronald), Dianne Gatrell (Darcy Butchko) and Marlene Hauser (Daryl); his grandchildren, Terrilynn Quantz (Chris), Ronelle Kiziak (Ryan), Nathan Kraushaar (Jennifer), Rebecca Manovich (Derek) and Carolyn Hauser (Ryan MacGibbon); his great grandchildren, Stephen Manovich, Hudson Manovich, Thomas Kraushaar, Simon Kraushaar, Cameron Kiziak and Carter Kiziak; his siblings, Georgie Gwilliam, Stan Gatrell, Elsie Patrick (Murray), Winnifred Reidy (Vince), Kathy Coolican (Tom), Janet Maurer (Laverne) and Wilfred Hennig; and his sister-in-law Clara Hennig. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
