He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Thomson and Margaret Ryder; his siblings, Clayton, Roland Thomson, Alvin Saulteaux, Vera and Kara Thomson; his grandson Brendan; his stepmother Ida Eashappie; and the mother of his children Rhonda Ashdohonk.
He is survived by: his children, Monica (Taun), Shauna (Beryl), Tanya (Elden), Darryl and Sara; his grandchildren, Alexis, Clayton (Vanessa), Raven, Tylor, Marshall, Alec and Maverick; his siblings, Marlene (Zoe), Elaine (George), Leona, Carol, Kenward, Keon, Orson (Leah), Aurel, Ryan, Orville (Kathy) and Victor Whitebear; his aunts, Wilma Kennedy, Sharon Thomson and Viola Krause; and also Isabelle Nahneposwisk.
