She was predeceased by: her parents, Gertrude Cayer (Therrien) and Albert Cayer; her siblings, Penny Gellatly, Maurice "Moe" Cayer, Paul Cayer and Martha Porter; her former husbands, Gerald Hennessy and Martial Joyal; and her sons, Michael Hennessy and Dan Joyal.

She is survived by: her children, Wayne Joyal (Rita), Bernard Joyal, Robert Joyal (Michelle), Colette McCoy (Doug), Andy Joyal (Bambi), Trish Hennessy (Craig) and Nadine Hennessy. She is also survived by grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Ignace Roman Catholic Church.
