Edna Mae Shepherd Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edna Mae Shepherd (Whitewood, Saskatchewan), who passed away on February 13, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her adoptive father Samuel (Mary Carson); her sister Mary 'Tootsie'; her sisters-in-law, Edna and Lil; her husband Jack (Jack); her siblings, Stanley Carson (Nellie), Mary McBeth (John) and Ruby McDonald (Norman); her siblings-in-law, Raymond Shepherd (Phyllis), Audrey Carson (Earl), Doreen Carson (Earl) and Robert Shepherd; her parents-in-law, Mervin Carson, Gordon McDonald, David Shepherd (Joanne), Gary Frier, Sue Shepherd, Maxine Downes, Bob Johnson and Cliff Ashfield; her great-nephew Shirley; her sister-in-law Lillian Shepherd (Robert); and her nieces and nephews, Donnelda Carson (Mervin), Emmie Edey (McDonald), Doug McDonald (Leslie), Don McDonald (Pat), Phyllis Frier, Sandra White (Walter), Wayne Shepherd, Doug Shepherd (Debbie), Keith Shepherd (Karen), George Shepherd (Audrey), Shirley Johnson, Elaine Ashfield and Sharon Norwig (Rick).
The many hours spent visiting with her sister-in-law Lil and especially their drives in the countryside were enjoyed and even more so when she relocated to the Whitewood Community Health Centre, prior to the isolation from COVID-19.
Both Jack and Edna served on the vestry at St. Mary's Anglican Church, and Edna was an active member of the Anglican Church Women's auxiliary, was representative of the Forrest Farm Memorial Fund and enjoyed working with the Scissors Creek Auxiliary, sponsoring the Candy Stripers at Whitewood Hospital during that period of time.
