Wylie Richard Thompson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wylie Richard Thompson of Weyburn, Saskatchewan, who passed away on April 7, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Wylie Richard Thompson to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thompson and Catherine Thompson; his granddaughter Ava Trobert; his brother Lewis Thompson; his niece Lucy Stadler; his nephew Dwight Thompson; his in-laws, John and Margaret Yanyu; and his brothers-in-law, Larry Stadler, Brian Huber and Henry Yanyu.

He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Thompson of Weyburn, SK; his son Philip Thompson (Tanya Buchinski) of Radville, SK; his grandchildren, Parker and Presley; his son Mark Thompson (Janet) of Lake Alma, SK; his granddaughter Stephanie Aronson (Emmett); his great grandchild Titus; his grandchildren, Michelle, Jeremiah and Sarah; his son John Thompson (Keitha) of Yellow Grass, SK; his grandchildren, Julie, Amy and Benjamin; his daughter Doris Trobert (James) of Estevan, SK; his grandchildren, Rylan (Naomi), Connor, Justin and Lindy; his sister Emily Stadler; his siblings-in-law, Mildred Thompson, Helen Yanyu, Eva Chopping (Bruce), Janet Varga (Pat), Raymond Yanyu (Gail) and Daniel Yanyu (Linda); and also Cara Thompson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A prayer was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Rd Family Funeral Chapel (1825 1 Ave NE, Weyburn, SK S4H0A1). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Parish Roman Catholic Church (301 Warren St, Radville, SK S0C2G0).

In lieu of flowers, for family and friends so wishing, charitable donations in memory of Wylie may be made to the Adult Day Program, c/o Weyburn.
