He was predeceased by: his parents, Les Holdstock and Beatrice Holdstock; his parents-in-law, Frank and Gertrude Malley; his brother John "Jack" Holdstock; his grandson-in-law Chad Johnstone; and his brother-in-law Maurice Latour.

He is survived by: his wife Darlene Holdstock of Weyburn, SK; his sons, Roger Holdstock (Joanne) of Weyburn, SK and Brad Holdstock (Joyce) of Okotoks, AB; his grandchildren, Marla Holdstock and Ryan Holdstock (Kali); his great grandchildren, William Bushell, Hadley, Rhea and Maren Holdstock; his grandchild Brynn Holdstock (Allie); his great grandchild Avery Holdstock; his grandchild Robyn Holdstock; his sisters, Joan Maguire (Wayne), Janice Latour and Helen Jacob (Alfred); and his sisters-in-law, Morag Holdstock, Marian Grier (Al) and Marianne Holdstock. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
