He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilhelm Krueger and Ottilia Krueger; his stepmother Adelgunde Krueger; his siblings, Rudolph, Alfred, Mary Hockley (Howard) and Elsie Wilson; and his nephew Curtis Thom.

He is survived by: his sister Emma Thom.
