He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil and Elizabeth; and his siblings, Pauline Nelson (Malcolm), Joseph Winter (Hazel), Anne Drysdale (Charles), John Winter (Paulene), Carl Winter (Julianna), Jacob Winter (Lorrainne), Emil Winter (Anne), Eva Craigen (Archibald), Elizabeth Miller (John) and Harold Winter (Rosemarie).

He is survived by: his brother Vic Winter (Helen); his son Stephen Winters (Joanne); his grandchildren, Danielle, Cody of Weyburn, SK and Adam Winters; his daughter Shelley Bartlow; his granddaughter Tina; his great grandchildren, Nikolai, Aiden and Gage of Phoenix, AZ; his children, Lance Winters (Bridget) of Winnipeg, MB and Angela Martinson (Randy) of Weyburn, SK; and his grandson Chad Martinson of Regina, SK..
