He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Northrop and Bertha Northrop; his sister Shirley Owen (Dave); and his sister-in-law Shirley Northrop. He is survived by: his wife Ernestine Northrop of Weyburn, SK; his daughter Wanda Laturnus (Tim) of Weyburn, SK; his grandsons, Keith Laturnus, Justin Laturnus (Mei Segade) and Jared Laturnus; his son Blaine Northrop (Jamie Hoehn); and his siblings, Marcus Northrop and Doreen Horsey (Irwin). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
