She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvie Downing and Rosie Downing; and her son Terrence Burgess. She is survived by: her son Randolph Burgess (Penny) of Weyburn; her granddaughter Andrea Morrice (Justin); her great grandchildren, Brandon and Brody; her grandson Brian Burgess (Shannon); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Makenna and Emryk; her daughter-in-law Cindy Burgess of Saskatoon; her grandson Jordan Burgess; her great grandchildren, Larissa and Jasper; her grandchildren, Jeff Burgess (Aubrey) and Jessica Burgess; her niece Myrna Davis (Rick); and her friend Audrey Trumpour. She is also survived by one brother and one sister as well as numerous nieces, nephews other relatives & friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marie may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
