He was predeceased by: his wife Josephine Church; his parents, Harry Church and Kathleen Church; his siblings-in-law, Leo, Paul, Euclid Beaulieu, Evelyn, Shirley and Miriam Beaulieu; and his parents-in-law, Joseph, Josephine Beaulieu and Jim.

He is survived by: his children, Guy Church (Yvette) and Cheryl Stott (Tim); his grandchildren, Mike Church, Sarah Satre (Dustin), Courtney Bechard (Mitch), Layne Stott (Kim) and Katlin Stangland (Dexter); his great grandchildren, Kitchener, Ophelia, Rowynn, Jameson, Briggs, Hallie, Chloe and Jaxon; and his sister-in-law Shirlee Beaulieu. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Donations in memory of James may be made to the Salvation Army or Weyburn Humane Society.
