He was predeceased by: his wife Madelene; his parents, Michael Bachart and Helen Bachart; his siblings, Vera Eichorst and Walter Bachart; and his siblings-in-law, Ilene Thauberger, Marilyn Kruger, Ron Klein, Peter Thauberger, Sid Postma, Henry Eichorst and Fred Lyon.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Bachart (Lori, family: Craig, Meena, Noah, Gary Jr., Hillary, Heidi, Holly, Sara Bachart, Isaiah) and Barb Whitrow (Warren, family: Jennifer Logel, Conner, Paisley, Presley, Cody Whitrow); his brother Richard Bachart (Marguerite); and his siblings-in-law, Yvonne Bachart, Denise Postma and Donald Kruger. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
