He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Hemphill and Marion Hemphill; his son Daniel Dean Hemphill; and his brothers, Donald, Allan and Ken Hemphill.
He is survived by: his children, Don Hemphill (Conni), Pattie Schiefner, Cory Hemphill (Rhonda), Kelly Hemphill (Carrie), Norm Rasmussen (Candice) and Michael Kirk; his grandchildren, Jesse (Jess), Aaron, Matthew, Jerred, Mitchell, Andrew, Sheridan, Grayson, Aksel and Lincoln; his great grandchildren, Paycen and Taisley; and his siblings, Isabel Whitrow (Ellwood), Evelin Schmidt (Duane), Arthur Hemphill, Ellen Jean Steinacher (William) and Lorne Hemphill (Judy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends.
Due to Pandemic Restrictions "The Celebration of Gordon's Life" to held at the Royal Canadian Legion has unfortunately been cancelled.
